Kettlebell Introduction

Your very own kettlebell quickstart introduction course, tailored to your fitness experience and any movement challenges. Each session builds on the previous ones with new movement prep, skill learning, review, practice and a training finisher. You'll learn how to swing, clean, press, squat, get-up and a bunch more foundational exercises. Students who are ready will also learn how to snatch.

Accountability Coaching

Even the world's best plans are doomed if they aren't executed. Knowing what needs doing isn't enough to get you anywhere. Those who need more structured support, regular check-ins, proactive troubleshooting and motivational boosts to get the doing done, this is for you. 

Accountability coaching is all about tough love. Helping you do the things you need to do, to get you to where you want to be, who you want to become. It's having someone in your corner, keeping your progress moving forward. It's a two-way street.

Kettlebell Skills Form Check

  • Review all or only a few kettlebell skills
  • Learn regressions & progressions and specialized variations
  • Programming recommendations to strengthen your lifts
I get a lot of kettlebell enthusiasts looking to review their form, improve their technique or learn advanced skills. Others are fitness professionals looking to add kettlebells to their toolkits. I'm super keen to teach anyone who is also keen. Instructors welcome! Available live & online.

  • Advanced booking required so I can tailor our session with exercises and weights
  • While this is a "buddy" training session, I'll observe your turns and give you constructive feedback
  • A great way to take my teaching style out for a test drive before committing to a package

SFG Readiness Assessment

  • Live, online or by video/email
  • Know your skills & gaps, with or without your snatch test
  • Do a partial or full snatch test
  • Get a detailed plan on how to prioritize your training up to your certification
At certifications, my StrongFirst Certified Senior Instructor job is making sure every want-to-be instructor demonstrates that they can represent our school — by meeting our exacting standards. So my readiness assessment puts you through exactly that. All the skills plus a snatch test. You get detailed feedback on your performance, potential issues, strengths, weaknesses, training priorities up to the day and weekend strategies to get the most out of it.

SFG Prep Plan

Getting ready for your SFG instructor certification is no small feat. You have to develop mobility to get into the start and ending positions, stability to quash tension-leaking noise, motor control to move from one position to another, motor patterning to optimize lifts, strength to defy gravity, and endurance to produce quality reps even while fatigued. Oh, and all to the StrongFirst standards for each skill, while avoiding injury. Your investment is more than just financial. It's time, effort and dedication for several months prior. 

Not every aspiring SFG instructor has the benefit of training with an already certified expert — I was one of those. Flying by the seat of my pants, hoping I'd read, watched, and understood the right information and turned that into technical proficiency. Thankfully, things are simpler now with better access to online resources. 

But having a solid plan tailored to your specific gaps with regular progress check-ins is how we up your chances, not just of success, but of going in so confident, you can focus on the "learning to teach" part. After all, that's what'll help you monetize your investment.
